5 out of 5 stars Could sell for twice the price...   December 28, 2008
wideboyracing (England)
I am not going to write a large review, others have beaten me to it and {Mellar "Mellar"} sums up virtually all the warning points you need to know. I would add a fourth though - it is a dust magnet! I have to wipe mine a couple of times a day, perhaps that says more about the state of my house though.

Frankly I am amazed by this unit, I bought it after having stayed at a hotel in New York and using a similar Logic3 unit. It looks great, sounds fantastic, clear display and multiple alarms. There is nothing not to like!!

If I had two requests it would be that there was a model which included DAB, and that I could choose which track it plays on my iPod with the alarms, rather than continuing with the one I went to sleep to. How they could achieve the latter without significantly ramping up the price of the unit I have no idea so it is a tiny thing that I will have to live without. Not a major chore by any means!

I whole heartedly recommend this unit. I always say "buy it once, buy it right" and would normally look to spend twice this sort of price in the hope I'd get what I was looking for. Logic3 have hit the spot perfectly and for what I believe is a cracking price.

This system has adequate sound but BEWARE it does not charge all types of IPod - see the discussion forums for more detail.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent!!   December 28, 2008

I wasn't sure about this item when i ordered it as it did look a bit tacky and i thought i should have paid the extra money to get the Sony equivalent - how wrong i was!

-It actually looks quite good... it looks a bit like a Bose radio clock and with the glossy black coating it looks great!
-The sound quality is surprisingly good from such a small thing with good bass and little distortion when you have it on a high volume (It's much better than the quality you get from your average set of iPod speakers).
-It has two alarms which is very useful as i get up at different times on different days!
-It has different levels of brightness which means you don't have to put up with a strong 'light' on all night on the low setting which was the problem i had with my previous clock.
-Radio is good and picks up a lot of stations my hi-fi doesn't.

However one thing that is slightly annoying is having to press a 'source' button to change from radio to iPod (or the other way round) when it would be much easier to have an individual button for each thing.

Overall this is superb value for money and i would recommend it to anyone! - It does everything it says it should and to a higher standard than one would expect.

4 out of 5 stars Great - but not for iphone (charging)   October 27, 2008

As per most previous reviews, love the sound quality. I know many have asked about iphone - it will play Iphone (3G), you can control the phone with the remote to skip etc, but it will not charge the iphone. It doesn't seem to suffer from the annoying mobile interference noise (that I have yet noticed). Overall, more than worth the money - gives us a version fully iphone 3G compatible and I'll give you 5 stars :-)

5 out of 5 stars iPod Dock   October 23, 2008

I bought this unit to sit on my desk at work so I had music while I work. The sound quality if fantastic and it does everything I want and more. The display is clear and easy to understand and I love the fact it is a radio as well as a docking station. My iTouch is always charged so no annoying battery lows anymore.

If you are looking for a good unit I highly recommend this one.
