I'd been looking for a suitable case for my MD for use while running, but all the belt-based options kept either falling off, or wobbling around so much I wished they'd fall off! This case holds the MD nice and snug (no wobbling!) and because I can wear it on my upper arm, I only need a short earphone lead, so even less to flail about. I take off the remote and just plug in short 'phones, put the disc on random and away! Been very pleased with it so far. I tend to only run in the dry, so I've not tested the waterproofness (is that a word?). However, it looks good for a short shower, just to keep the worst of the water out of the player. In short, good for this job.

Okay, it looks sleek from the outside; but this "practical" piece of kit is rather dull. And, before you ask, it isn't flush either.

It really sticks out when you wear it; I have never felt comfortable wearing it.

There are plenty more MD holders from Sony that will do the job better than this. For example, I got one with my Hi-MD recorder for free. Remember: always pick a soft material - it will still protect the scratches; and the Shock Absorbant body of the MiniDisc system will take care of any damage caused. Think twice.

I like everything about this case except even the tightest setting is slightly to big for me... Once the minidisc is in the weight pulls the case down my arm. It's a great buy for any 'normal' person but don't bother if you're very small.

I purchased this case with my mini disc player with some reservations. The thought of the mini disc being attached to my arm sounded as if it would hinder me.

I took some getting used to although I felt the benefits immediately. I work in IT and mover from computer to server to computer frequently. Often forgetting about my player on the desk and straining my ears! This case takes care of that, and I can take an extra mini disc about with me.

I haven’t used it for running yet because of the snow but im sure it will be fine. The only problem is a small amount of pressure on the arm and it is a little tricky getting the pressure so that the mini disc doesn’t slip down the arm or cut the circulation off!!, but feels much better than strapping to your belt!
