This product is very good - I have successfully used it to upgrade my computer to USB 2.0 and Firewire.
The bay for the front it so much easier than trying to plug things like USB sticks and iPods in around the back so I'd recommend it just for the convenience.

I haven't given this product 5/5 because of 2 reasons (I should point out that I'm a novice with these things so anyone with more experience probably wouldn't have any problems):
(1) There were no instructions to tell you what order to install things in. I ended up guessing that I should install the driver off of the CD first; then took my PC apart to install the card and bay. This worked luckily.
(2) I had a card which wasn't attached the metal plate correctly. After several attempts of trying the push the card in place, I noticed that the card was screwed to the metal plate at a slight angle, which meant it was 1mm out of place. I had to remove one of the two screws so it would move back into align to fit the card into my PCI slot.

The card provides you with 2x USB 2.0 slots and a Firewire 400 port on the back of your PC. The Bay for the front contains 2x UBS 2.0 ports, 1x Firewire 400 port, and a mini Firewire port (though I don't know what a mini Firewire is used with).
I do agree with the previous reviewer - the Firewire port is very, very fast :-)

needing to fit firewire to the front of my pc i checked all sites i could find and had chosen to buy a trust 3600 expansion port to give me what i needed plus a few extras that really i didnt need but never mind. came on amazon to check price and noticed the max view. has everything i need and nothing else, so i paid my and recieved the next day. installed straight away and fired up pc. no problems at all, drivers already installed on my Via chipset motherboard as this is what the unit requires. fitting was easy into 3.5 space and the unit works fine. new USB on rear and new USB on front, firewire runs like a dream.
REMEMBER though(like ive noticed on here), if u want somethin like this to give you USB2 upgrade, u got to have SP1 or later installed on xp. for W98 try the nvidia chipset driver, you might be lucky.
