Excellent all rounder - fast refresh of 2ms DVI & Analog cables supplied, lots of different modes to choose from, easy to assemble, no dead pixels of blurring during gaming - all in all a fantastic little monitor for 170 if you can find same spec for less your better than me. 5 out of 5 in my opinion and I've never been a fan LG products but this baby gets tops marks from me.

like many others i was going to buy the Samsung SM226BW 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor untill i read the reviews on the screen issues and im so glad i made the decision to buy this LG. I upgraded from a samtron 19"crt 98pdf(samsung).

I've had one of these for a while now, since they came out in fact, and I've enjoyed it immensely.
I'd like to note that it's a matte display. I'm not overly fond of glossy screens as any real source of light in the room will cause glare on the screen, as such this monitor (which is one of the few matte screens out there) is perfect for people who want to be able to see the display.
Now, this monitor performs well and has an exceptional response time. This makes playing games on such a screen brilliant. I've not had a single problem with it since I got it, and it's terribly easy to use, with a simple OSD.
Definitely 5/5.

Now admitedly I have upgraded to this monitor from a cheapey one that came free with my last PC, but this is waaaaayy above anything I've seen on any other machines!
It is so bright and clear I just don't know how I lived without it!
The shiney black adds a real touch of class to it and the simple, but elegant, base keeps the whole thing nice and neat.
The packaging was excellent and it came with both a digital and VGA cable.
Well worth the price in my view and even if you're not upgrading your whole computer, this will make a huge difference!

I opted for this LG Monitor, for 3 reasons, i hate samsung, dell is too expensive, and even if i was to buy a samsung, all the "panel lottery" is too risky for my pocket.
i dont know why, but i like LG more than samsung, and to be honest with you, i love what i got. it looks absolutely stunning, the screen is bright and colours are great, though the default colours are disappointing, but i changed the preset and it was great, though a bit bright for night times and i turned the brightness down and it's great now.
i wanted this monitor mainly for gaming. connected it to my 8800gtx via DVI and oh my God, all the games look fantastic, Cod4 in particular, playing FIFA is great as well (widescreen). i have watched a few movies with it, if u sit at the monitor, u will notice some noise in the picture due overdrive crap, but if u sit back a meter or 2, it will be fantastic, just love it.
some people say samsungs are better, but i dont care, i hate samsung :D
but i am sure this is the best monitor for gaming, it has very little input lag comparing to samsung panels.
anyway, i love what i have, looks well made and quality and the edges are well sealed. the only fault is that noise thing, otherwise it's perfect.
