I have just taken delivery of this Acer X222W and could not be happier with it for the price - looks really good sat on my desk and not one pixel out of place in the screen. I read the other rewiews and this was highly regarded and hasn't dissapointed.

I bought this monitor to use as a secondary screen for my macbook and to hook up to my ps3 and I couldn't be happier with it. I read all the reviews and decided this would be the one for me. The size is perfect and and the brightness is perfect. Very simple set up also, although I did have to purchase another cable to connect it to my macbook. 5 stars!

Bought this monitor after much searching on the net and reading reviews.
Arrived the following day and believe me is took longer to get the monitor out of the box, than setting it up.
What a doddle to set up. It took 5 minutes and i'm not a computer wizard.
I bought this 22" tft monitor for doing every day computer tasks and for my digital photography hobby. The choice was down to the contrast and resolution. This monitor is fab and the pics on the monitor are razor sharp, which helps when using photoshop cs2.
I'm delighted I bought a wide screen monitor, and a very good investment for the future.
I cannot fault this monitor apart from the internal speakers are quite poor. You would need to buy seperate speakers if you want to listen to quality sound from music or movies.
5 stars to acer.
Would recommend this product to everyone out there!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this product as a replacement for a 17" Fujitsu monitor for my desk at work. It is stylish and certainly has a big, wide screen.
Despite spending some time tring to get the balance right, I have not been able to get this screen to produce pin-sharp images and there is some pixel bleed. I have no doubt that it fine for people who want to use it for gaming and in that regard it is probably worth a 5 star rating. Sadly for office work, particularly using MS Word, the screen could be better: I would temper that statement with the fact that using Excel has been transformed on my desk, but the same issues regardin glong term use remain.
OK, why only 3 stars, it most certainly is cheap, for most users it would be an excellent purchase, certainly for use in the home. Sadly for an office environment it is not that good, but really as I sit at a screen for over 8 hours a day, perhaps I should have paid more anyway.
If you want a gaming screen or something for occasional use this product is is great and I would buy one for use in the home. For serious use for long periods at the screen, I suggest that you might benefit from paying a little more.

I ALSO bought this monitor (In part) to use with my american PS3 (I live in the uk and was attempting to circumnavigate the NTSC issue) as well as my brand new videocard (8800GTOC with thermointelligence) Let me tell you, this baby runs like a dream. The picture is crystal clear and makes for an incredible viewing experience. For added brownie points, the speakers really aren't that bad either (though, I would opt for a cheap Logitech sound system such as the x-210).
Definitely worth the purchase. The body is pretty damn robust too. I had to travel with it half way across the country in a roller suitcase whilst moving into university and it despite thinking it was damaged on a number of occasions due to significant bumps, it didn't take a single scratch. The somewhat flimsy seeming stand is significantly more durable then it looks.
