4 out of 5 stars Great game but a bit complicated   November 12, 2008
Lucy Winter
I brought this for my 6 year old daughter who had just got a ds. She found it very complicated and gave up with it after about 10 minutes so I took over and I have to admit I got rather addicted! The games are complicated and I don't think the instructions are very clear but once I got the hang of it I couldn't put it down- much to my daughters annoyance! I have tried to explain it to her but she still really struggles with a lot of the games so I would definatly recommend this game for slightly older children.

4 out of 5 stars superb game   November 7, 2008

imagine babies is a great game if you love babies. Some of the mini games are tricky at first but then you get used to them. The babies only go to sleep if they are tired. The stork [big bird]is very helpful at first because it tells you what the babies need ,if you need the storks opinion you click on the white chimney. To go to the shops click on the laptop. Over all i would recommend this game from age 8 to 100. IT IS GREAT.

3 out of 5 stars I got my baby to sleep!!!   August 30, 2008

This game is ok I guess
Ive already written a review on this when I couldent
get the baby to sleep but now I can!
First you rock them in your arms, then you put them in the cot and rock
them steadly after a little while the baby will fall asleep.
Keep rocking for a little longer to check they really are asleep
and if they dont wake up you press the back arrow. And you can mow the lawn or something.
Check them after a while and theyll be awake.
Hope I was helpful.Hannah 8 years old.oxox

4 out of 5 stars Fun but challenging   August 2, 2008

Imagine babies is a very good game but it can be a bit confusing. The graphics are good and there is quite a bit to do with the baby you are looking after, you just have to know how to do it. Basicly, you are a babysitter and a mum or dad will drop there baby boy or girl off at your house. You can make friends with the parents by looking after there children well. Usually the parent will tell you if the baby has eaten or needs to be fed, or if they need a bath and you should do so. Once the baby has been dropped off you are in charge of it with help from your stalk friend. The stalk, I think, isn't much help, but you will gradually work out what to do. You can rock the baby if it is agitated, also do this before putting it to sleep in it's crib. You can dress it up in costumes and normal close which you can buy from the computer, along with toys and paint. You can feed it, bath it and should do so after playing in the backyard. While no babies are in the house, or if they are asleep. Click on the attic door, you can paint the walls, hoover, or mow the lawn. When you have brought something from the computer, you have the wait for the delivery man to come. Sometimes the phone will ring, pick it up and it could be another parent asking you to look after there child later on. As you become better with the babies, you will have to look after more children and get a degree in babysitting. Have fun and good luck with this game because it is worth buying!

4 out of 5 stars Not So Bad....   July 3, 2008
Little Miss Star*x (United Kingdom)
This game was released eight months ago and as soon as i saw it i wanted it! However it seemed to be aimed at a young age group of players (im 19!) and alot of reviews weren't very good but i was curious to find out for myself....
I was very skeptical when i first turned it on, however it is VERY addictive and has a lot more activities to do then i first thought. I thought the game would be very easy for me to complete but ive found its challenging enough for me not to get bored quickly. The game also isnt just about looking after babies, you have to maintain a clean home, with time challenges to hoover and wash dishes, you can grow vegetables but remember to knock moles down their holes and water every day!
The positive points for this game are that its perfect for younger players but older players who liked games such as Babyz for the pc will enjoy it too, its a lot of fun and it will keep you entertained, its not very expensive and the stork gives you helpful hints thoroughout the gameplay.
The negative points are the packaging and instruction manual are so poor, they don't sell the game and they give no help whatsoever in playing the game which i for one was left struggling with for hours before i finally worked stuff out. Some helpful pointers for people buying this game which i would have liked to have known are
1. in the instruction manual the arrows pointing to the rooms of the house have been printed too far up the page so i ended up thoroughly confused thinking to access the phone you touched the roof and the living room and kitchen were upstairs with the bathroom and bedroom in the roof somewhere!
2. when you first begin to play you won't be able to go outside and the stork will keep saying the lawn has not been mowed....you will be given a lawnmower in time and if it won't start its not because you are doing it wrong but you have a baby in the house or one about to arrive!
3. don't be disheartened by every parent saying you've done a bad job with their baby, i think it must be a fault as i bathe, feed, play, play music, everything for my baby! And the parents still say it isnt good enough but give you money and vounchers for clothes, toys and furniture for the house!!!!

Overall i wouldn't spend more than 15 on this game and i would recommend it to people who enjoy a challenge and like babies!!
