4 out of 5 stars I like it   October 2, 2008
Ollie F, formerly B. WEIR (Lancaster, UK)
It's not exactly ground-breaking, but it's certainly good fun. I thought that "Project Zoo" had some nice ideas, but this is in a different class - a lovingly crafted game, very similar to the movie, with hours of playability. Kids will love it, but so will adults - it might not be incredibly taxing, but it has a lot of side missions, with mini-levels and collectables. It's not incredibly easy, but experienced gamers should finish it fairly comfortably.

Some lovely ideas, well-designed, and a platform game that is light-hearted and fun for all the family.

5 out of 5 stars probably the best game I own   February 26, 2007

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit is probably the best game I own, and that puts it in competition with another 10 or so. The characters are great and the attention to detail in this game is second to none - if you look carefully there are puns and jokes scattered everywhere, from PC Mackintosh to the Crate Stall that advertises its "crate prices!".

The game is amazing value for money, me and my girlfriend must have spent a whole week playing it (in total, not in one go!) before we completed it and found all the cards, so it's definitely not a complete in a couple of days game. There is also a large range of different tasks to complete so no two are the same, including chasing the were-rabbit, herding rabbits and other animals, and collecting seeds.

All in all, if you have the money to spare, this game will not disappoint. It's more than a challenge for both kids and adults, and is full of likeable characters and flufy creatures. Definitely recommended!

This brilliant game is perfect for children and adults! With puzzles to solve, vegetables to save and people to protect, this has got to be the best wallace and gromit game yet! the action isn't just during the day though, it is also at night where you fight the were creatures. The main object of the game is to do all of the missions and get all of the cards. (you get cards for completing missions). You also need to grow your prized marrow for the tottingham vegetable competition. Save coins to buy gardening items, records, a gramaphone, a thermostat, a watering can, wallpaper, ribbons, carpets, ph neutraliser bottles and veg-be-big bottles (all just for your marrow!) This game is challenging and you unlock new weapon upgrades and locations along the way to keep ypu interested. Overall, a brilliant game.

5 out of 5 stars Very fun and challenging game - not just for kids!   April 13, 2006

This is a long and very well thought out game. The story is pretty much the same as the film though certain incidents in the scenes have changed to fit in with the game.

The aim is to work your way through the massive town completing tasks for the townsfolk and earning cards. The game is certainly value for money as it takes ages to complete fully because there are so many cards to collect. However, you do not have to collect all cards to get to the end of the game.

The game is rated for 3+ but I think it is actually more suited to adults or older kids as I myself have found some of the tasks very difficult. And the more tasks you complete, the harder it gets to find where all the other tasks are. Sometimes though the townsfolk will tell you where to go. Most of the townsfolk will talk to you and some are very funny.

You can also switch between day and night. During the day Wallace and Gromit collect rabbits but at night Gromit is with Hutch - the Wallace-like-Rabbit and has to kill nasty were creatures and stop the giant Were Rabbit (Gromit) from eating all the veg. It is also very fun to be able to grow your own marrow throughout the game.

I have found the game to be very fun and challenging, and if you want a game that won't be completed within a couple of days, then try this. Adults will enjoy this game too.
