Amazon.com Pokemon Battle Revolution takes place on an island called Poketopia, where your goal is to battle your way through challenging Colosseums to become the Poketopia Master. Pokemon Battle Revolution is the first Wii - Nintendo DS linked title, which means that you can transfer your Pokemon from Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl wirelessly and watch them battle in full 3D! Pokemon Battle Revolution features three main modes of play: Colosseum Battle Mode, DS Battle Mode, and Wi-Fi Battle Mode. In Colosseum Battle Mode, your goal is to battle your way through a series of Colosseums, each with its own set of rules and challenges. In DS Battle Mode, two to four players can get together to watch their Pokemon battle on the big screen while using their Nintendo DS systems as controllers. To participate in this mode, each player will need his or her own Nintendo DS and copy of Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl. Things get really interesting in Wi-Fi Battle Mode, which allows you to battle your friends over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection using Friend Codes. You can also square off against Trainers from around the world using Pokemon Battle Revolution's Wi-Fi Rank system, which pits you against Trainers that have skill levels similar to your own.

Good game for older players January 4, 2009 G. Deane This game is excellent for one player. However it requires a lot of reading and understanding of the pokemon games. Although it states that it is a two player game you cannot play two players in the main part of the game only against each other. Which is not great. The graphics great and my son loves it. Def for the older child who can read and understand this type of game. My 6yr old had no idea.
Excellent and Visually Impacting. January 1, 2009 After my friend showed me the game I bought it straight away, looking forward to the amazing graphics. The gameplay is pretty much straight forward but there are several ways to play, including using the DS as a controller. It's easy to select your options, but there are lack of modes for Single Player. You can copy pokemon from Diamond or Pearl versions to the Wii, I highly recommend doing this because the pokemon on the Rental Passes are rather bad. So I suggest you get reasonably far on Diamond or Pearl before you buy PBR. (I happen to own Pearl) The soundtrack is ok... The battle music is repeated often, so it gets rather irratating after a while. My favourite music is the Title Screen which gets you into the mood for playing. The graphics are the best part and are much, much much better than the DS graphics. I reckon it's the main highlight of this game. They are much better visually, especially the attacks in battle. I highly suggest this for any Pokemon fan, and ignore any critic reviews that give it a one star. (Sorry for anyone who has given this one star.) But again, you need Diamond or Pearl for this to be the best experience.
It's amazing! May 3, 2008 Haz 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
I think this is a really good game because you get to play wi fi & battle with others all over the world. After you have battled them you get to collect thier passes and then you can play with thier pokemon in free battle. I had both the diamond and pearl and played them often on DS so I was very familiar with the game. I thought it was great to be able to download all my pokemon onto the Wii game. If you don't have a DS with diamond or pearl it would not be fun! Harry aged 11.
A must have for Pokemon Fans, but buy Diamond or Pearl first. May 2, 2008 J. Cosgrave 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
I got this game for Christmas. I was really looking forward to it coming out in the UK as I am a huge Pokemon fan, but had never played on any of the Colosseum games, only the GB/GBA games. When I played this game, it was definitely not a disappointment. I played this game non stop, unlike other reviews I think the graphic's are really good for the Wii. Another really good point to make about the game is the DS/DS Lite connectivity. This allows you to upload all your pokemon from Diamond and Pearl into the game and battle with them in the game, and buy (with the money earned from battling in the Closseums)and download items that can be used in Diamond and Pearl. Further more, you can battle with other players by using your DS/DS Lite which is very fun indeed! I also liked the fact that you could choose what your trainer looked like in the game, and buy items to customise their appearence using the money earned from battle. The online play is also really fun! However there are some criticisms of this game. In my opinion it did not have much of a story line apart from the constant battling. The next criticism of the game is that it does not take that long to complete, and once you complete the game the only thing you can really do is do it again on different levels of difficulty unlocking new things from each Colosseum- personally I find that quite tedious. Overall this game is a must have for any Pokemon fan. It is fun to play, and in my opinion has good graphics. Be warned, that to get the most out of the game you need Pokemon Diamond and Pearl on the DS/DS Lite.
not exactly a long term investment... April 21, 2008 Tom Riley (Wilmslow, cheshire, uk, europe, the wold, this galaxy, the universe (sk9 6aw)) 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
This game is excellent except for the countless mitherings from the receptionist, the reason my title is what it is, is because the levels aree way to short. and have an incredibly steep learning curve. i'd also prefer it if my pokemon were not obliterated online by everyone you meet (with the exception of the noobs with the free rental pass) i am a die hard pokemon fan and have all the pokemon on my ds, but dont understand how suicune can anhialate all of my pokemon, even when all of my poke's are lvl 100. i bought the wii and this game just for the online capabilities(i know xbl an psn are alot better) but itsa quite frankly appauling. Nintendo, you just lost yet another die hard nintendo fanboy... All because of a stupid poke game, nintendo, your losing your touch... meanwhile i've just become a sony fanboy, ALL HALE KING SONY AND ITS MIGHTY PET SONY PS3...
